These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Casa Management Solutions ("Casa," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of Bwat and related services (the "Services"). By creating an account, or by continuing to use the Services, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. Who We Are

Bwat is an AI-powered assistant built by Casa Management Solutions, available as a web dashboard, a VS Code extension, and a mobile app.

2. Account Creation and Access

You must be at least 18 years old to use Bwat. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account — do not share your login or your VS Code extension / mobile sign-in with anyone else. You agree to provide accurate information when creating your account and to keep it up to date. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.

3. One Account Per Person

Bwat's free tier is intended to give one account per person a reasonable amount of usage at no cost. Creating or operating multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier usage limits, rate limits, or other account-level restrictions is not permitted, regardless of whether the accounts use different email addresses. We use automated signals (such as accounts sharing the same device or network) to help identify this pattern, and accounts found to be doing this are subject to suspension as described in Section 12.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Services to:

  • Violate any applicable law or the rights of others;
  • Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or billing, including through the multiple-account behavior described in Section 3;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services, other accounts, or our systems, or use automated means (bots, scrapers) to access the Services without our permission;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, security, or performance of the Services;
  • Reverse-engineer the Services, or build a competing product using access to the Services;
  • Generate content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or intended to harm others.

5. Inputs, Outputs, and Your Content

When you use Bwat, you submit prompts and files ("Inputs") that generate AI responses ("Outputs"); together with anything else you create through Bwat, we call this "Your Content." You retain ownership of Your Content, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Outputs may not always be accurate and may contain material inaccuracies even when they appear correct. Outputs are generated automatically by routing your Inputs to third-party AI providers — you are responsible for independently reviewing and verifying Outputs before relying on them, especially for legal, medical, financial, or other consequential decisions. You are responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to submit it.

With your consent (on by default, and revocable at any time from Settings), we use the conversations of consenting users to improve Bwat, as described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Feedback

If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ratings about the Services (including thumbs up/down on a response or a bug report), you agree that we may use it to improve the Services without any obligation to compensate you.

7. Subscriptions, Fees, and Payment

Paid plans are billed in advance for the period you select — 30 days for monthly plans, 360 days for annual plans — in your local currency where available (see the billing page for current pricing). Bwat does not auto-renew or auto-charge a saved payment method: your plan simply expires at the end of the period you paid for and your account reverts to FREE unless you complete another payment before then. Fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We will give reasonable advance notice of any fee increase before it applies to you.

8. Third-Party Services and Content

Bwat routes your Inputs to third-party AI providers to generate Outputs, and some features connect to other third-party services you choose to use (for example, connecting a GitHub repository, or posting to a social media account). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties, and your use of them is at your own risk. Some Bwat features may also display content licensed from or sourced from third parties (for example, legal case law and legislation) — that content remains the property of its original source and is provided for reference, not as legal advice.

9. Content Moderation

We may review, restrict, or remove any content available through the Services (including Your Content) that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, infringes someone's rights, or could create liability for us or harm to others. If you believe content available through the Services infringes your rights, contact us using the details in Section 17.

10. Software Updates

The Bwat VS Code extension and mobile app may update automatically, and we may change or discontinue features of the Services at any time. We will make a reasonable effort to communicate material changes in advance.

11. Ownership of the Services

Casa and its licensors own all rights in the Services themselves (the software, design, and branding), excluding Your Content. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Services except as the Services' own functionality allows, and you may not use the Bwat name or branding without our written permission.

12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms — including operating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits (Section 3) or any other violation of Section 4. Where an account is suspended, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you by email. You may terminate your account at any time from your account settings.

13. Appeals

If your account is suspended and you believe this was done in error, you may submit an appeal from our appeal page. We review appeals and will respond by email.

14. Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, and Indemnity

THE SERVICES AND ANY OUTPUT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CASA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow these exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold Casa harmless from any claims, losses, or damages arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Services, or your violation of any law or third party's rights.

15. General Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services at any time. We may update these Terms from time to time; we will update the date at the top and, for material changes, make a reasonable effort to notify you — continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms. We may comply with valid legal requests (such as a court order) that require us to disclose information about your account.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless applicable law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Services will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction for any actual or threatened violation of Section 4 (Acceptable Use) or Section 11 (Ownership of the Services).
