Bwat

Custom agents

Do not bend your company around a generic chatbot

We build the agent around the process that is already yours

Some work is too specific for a self-serve prompt. If the agent must follow your procedure, use your templates, understand your internal material, and work with systems your company approves, the Bwat team can build that workflow with you.

Custom agents are scoped engagements, not an instant no-code agent builder.

A strong first candidate is

  • Repeated often enough to matter
  • Clear enough that an expert can describe the right process
  • Grounded in identifiable documents or systems
  • Reviewable by a person before the result has consequences

The build starts with the work, not the model

We map the trigger, inputs, judgement points, actions, approvals, exceptions, and final output with the people who actually do the job. Only then do we decide what should be instructions, a knowledge source, an integration, an approval step, or ordinary software.

  • Observe the current process and collect real examples
  • Define what the agent may decide and what it must escalate
  • Identify the approved systems and information boundaries
  • Agree how quality will be measured before a pilot begins

Examples of company-specific work

  • Review a submission against an internal rubric
  • Prepare a report in an exact house format
  • Triage a recurring operational exception
  • Turn several internal records into one approved brief

From process to production

The sequence keeps a convincing demo from being mistaken for a dependable workflow.

  1. 01

    Define the job

Choose one bounded process, the people it serves, and the result worth improving.

  2. 02

    Build against real cases

Encode the procedure, connect approved material or tools, and test representative examples.

  3. 03

    Run a controlled pilot

Put the agent beside the current process, record failures, and keep human approval at the consequential points.

  4. 04

    Operate and improve

Update instructions, references, integrations, and evaluations as the process changes.

What the engagement can include

Process instructions

A versioned description of the steps, decisions, templates, exceptions, and escalation rules the agent follows.

Approved integrations

Connections to the internal or external systems required for the scoped job, built and reviewed for that deployment.

Permission boundaries

Explicit rules for what the agent may read, change, send, or only propose for a person to approve.

Evaluation cases

A set of representative and difficult examples used to judge whether changes improve the real workflow.

The right Bwat surface

Deploy the workflow in web chat, a coding surface, the Windows local agent, or a dedicated interface where appropriate.

Ongoing maintenance

Keep the agent aligned as source material, systems, policy, and the company's own process change.

Before we scope it

Is this the same as a shared prompt?
No. A prompt may be one component, but a custom agent can also include reusable instructions, reference material, permissions, integrations, approval points, and tests for the complete workflow.
Can the agent make final decisions?
That depends on the consequence and the process you approve. The default design is to keep consequential judgement and irreversible actions with a person, then automate more only where evidence supports it.
Do we need Bwat Enterprise?
A custom company deployment is handled as an enterprise engagement because it needs scoping, review, support, and commercial terms beyond a normal self-serve account.
